Losing weight 2016

This year I have to lose 48lbs. I started off by using the App my fitness pal.  You add the food you eat and water you drink. This app helps me push myself on drinking water. The last two days I have drank 4 glasses. I have lost 8lbs so far. Pushing myself to lose 25 more pounds. My husband and I go out to eat 2-3 times a week which puts me over the calories I should have for the day. Needing to eat better while I am out because going over the allotted  calories does not work for me when trying to lose weight. I also have a Fitbit and must work harder on walking more. Glad to get this off my chest and will be back soon.

Back to walking because my birthday is over.

May 7th was my birthday. That whole week I wasn't really watching what I was eating. I did not log anything on my weight watchers profile. Today I told myself that the party is over. When I arrived to work this morning I read the sign that said "Make healthy choices". Wow!! I need to focus on what I am eating and get back to walking that 1/2 mile. Tuesday we walked and then sat in our new SPA. How relaxing. Last night it was to cold to walk or sit in the SPA. Tonight we went for our relaxing walk. It is beautiful outside tonight. After walking of course we had to sit in the SPA and relax. Thank you Lord~

Lost a few days of walking!

The past few days I have not walked for one reason or another. I told my self that there would not be any good reason not to walk when we only walk 1/2 mile and only takes us eleven minutes. Well I guess that there was bad reasons not to walk for the past 3 or 4 days. One day was birthday dinner with two of our daughters and their children, Mothers Day, and one night we went to a comedy show. I guess I laughed hard enough for me to count that as exercise. Well need to get back on track and get my husband to walk with me each night from this night forward. I can bet that my husband will want to wait until tomorrow since I have a heart monitor on for 24 hours. I hope we do because after the stress test that I had on this past Saturday that my blood pressure bottom number is to high under stress. Let's walk!!!!

Weight Watchers Buddies!

I have 3 weight watchers buddies: Two of my sisters and Sister in-law. We were all texting reminder messages to each other for about 4 weeks. The last two weeks I haven't heard from none of them. I was the only one sending my weight loss on Thursday and waiting for theirs on Friday. When Friday came I didn't hear from any one of the three. Today I thought I would send a reminder message to push start them. I am glad that I sent the message. I received two back. Lord please guide each of us to lose the weight needed.

Walking for this weight loss journey!

I have always put off exercising due to back/leg problems.  My chiropractor has given me treatments that has helped me get off of 2 of the 4 medications that I was on and have less pain each day. I wanted to see if my body could handle exercise. My husband said he would join me when I decided to walk. Twenty five days ago I decided to start walking. My husband and I walk  a little over 1/2 mile each day we walk. We have walked 24 out of 25 days. One day it rained and we were unable to walk. God was watering the plants free of charge, so we can not complain. I enjoy walking right now with the great weather we have been having. I pray to God that I will not make excuses when it gets hot out. It only takes me 11-12 minutes to walk, so how could I make any excuses on not walking. It didn't take long for me to get from the single numbered days of walking to the double digit days of walking. Now it will take a long time before I get to the triple digits numbers of days walked. Ready get set "WALK".
